2 1/2 hours...Man!!! next time I'm driving to your house. ha!! Yeah...first time doing it and did it the old fashioned way. A Jack, lots of PB Blaster, and a long *** pipe..ha!! I'm sore all over. Next...get a shop to vacuum it and re-charge. Crossing fingers and hope that this new compressor works!!!
Don't feel like doing this job all over again!

Okay..soI just called one shop and ask how much it would cost to have my ac system vacuumed and re-charged. The man said $125....what!!!

Is this a reasonable price?

I would say thats pretty good. I think the going rate for freon is like $30.00 a LB or something like that plus about 1 hour or so labor that sounds pretty close.
