annoying rattle
There is a somewhat annoying rattle that seems to be coming from the DS a-pillar or that corner of the dashboard. I've tried to trace it, but have been unsuccessful. Is there anything in these cars that typically makes such a noise? Any shortcut that someone can offer would be great.
Thanks!

RE: annoying rattle
2 Things in that area that are common are 1. The plastic peice that comes out of the A-pillar panel for holding tickets/other things. 2. The dash is common to break the mounting tabs.
Either Grab the dash on the drivers side and slightly push and pull and see if you hear the noise. Or drive and push in on the dash and see if the noise stops.

RE: annoying rattle
I've got the same thing on both sides. Is there an easy fix?
EDIT: If I hit the top of the dash, it will either get worse or go away for a while. I'm pretty sure it's not the clip.
And while we're on the subject of rattles, the plastic trim piece on my passenger fender is loose, and I believe it's making a fairly obnoxious noise (but maybe it's the suspension?). Is there a way to secure it?

I had the same problem on my 93 850. Believe it or not, the rattle was actually the speakers in the dash. They are held in with tabs that came loose and the speakers were actually rattling around when I hit bumps. The speaker covers pop right off with a flat blade.

They are held in by metal clips that can usually be bought at your local parts store. If it is the entire plastic skirting that is collapsing, you may have to rig it up using some extra big washers or something, as those can get ripped at the anchor points. Maybe it would help if you described the noise?

The clips don't break the plasitc breaks.
