Hey guys, first post on this forums. Im a big car nut and this is my first volvo!!!
its a 1993 850 GLT automagic 90k miles
was sitting in the yard for two year when i picked it up, didnt run, bought for 300.
Bought new battery, change fuel pump and filter. and now its brand new!
haha well kinda.

Anyways to get to what i need help with. The car runs great. just the dam transmission.
Yes i have the blinking light. it also stays into higher gear when i am driving it around.

I believe its on limp mode.

I have opened and cleaned the PNP and it seems to work a little better. i ran code threw A1 and got 1-2-2 and also 2-1-1.
S1 Solenoid code
and transmission ecu code? i believe.. not positive.

i have been doing a lot of research and now i just need a little more advice and direction on changing the solenoids. i herd it is best to do all three. S1S2 (part# 6843783) and SL (part#6843784.

where are these solenoid located?

and am i heading in the right direction?

also to add. Now after i cleaned the PNP it actually goes into 1st when all warmed up. it just doesnt go into 2nd. i will try and take apart the PNP again and clean it better with sand paper and what not to see it will do anything.
also. When i put it into reverse. It gives a hard shift like action into reverse.
I will check motor mounts.
