Hi guys, just wondering if any of you might have or might be able to take some pics of the a/c compontents on the 850's? (compressor, evap...ect)
My car has the a/c button but when i turn it on the air doesn't get cold and i don't hear the compressor working? i don't know if i still have the proper components or if they where yanked out.
Also, if they are all there, and there is a leak(no more freon), will it cause the compressor to not kick in? thanks

The A/C compressor is located just below the alternator on the front of the engine. The pressure test port (Low side) is next to it and it has a cap that says - I think - 12 n/m on it.

The evaporator is buried in the dash There are some good pictures in this writeup:

If you have low pressure or a leak the compressor will not turn on.

Hey Lee..thanks for the reply, it was quite helpfull and the article was quite informative. I will bring it in to have it checked for a leak, hopefully it's just that and not the compresser that is dead..
It's crazy at how these cars are built, i'm quickly finding out how complicated they are....i'm comparing this to my previous car (1996 chevy caprice)...man it was such an easy car to work on and everything was located right there in front of you with lots of room to work...sigh...oh well..thanks again
