Default Anyone replaced the heater hose coupling?

I was replacing all my hoses this weekend, and when doing the heater hoses, I buggered up the coupling somehow while trying to get the old orings and spacers out. I just picked up a new one at the dealer, but I'm wonderering what is involved in getting it out. I assume I have to remove the heater core which I just replaced about a month ago.

Now you don't need to remove the heater core. Just the pipes from the core. Then the screws from outside. I think you also have to remove the gas pedal and mount to slide it out. The pedal comes loose bu pulling the pin at the pivet point and the pedal should come off.

BTW how much was it I need to buy one for my car. I cannot go through work since I got layed off.

It was about $33 with my Volvo club discount. About a buck cheaper than FCP Groton and they had it in stock, and no shipping.

It comes with all the o-rings pre-installed.

I got it replaced. Might have been easier had I removed the heater core, but it was do-able with it in. I think one of the o-rings is still seeping slightly on the inside of the car, but for now, I'm just happy to have heat (it is 29 degrees F now, and going down). I'll look at it later to see if it is still weeping. I don't smell any coolant which is a good sign.

Glad you got it in there.
