Auto Shifter Question
Is there a switch that can be adjusted at the shifter? Reason is, I have to pull back sometimes when car is in park, so it will start. Once I start driving, it just winds out and tach goes way up. If I just pull back and give a little pressure when in "D", it will downshift, and then shift normal, as long as I continue to apply pressure. Once it is warmed up, it seems to go away.
sounds like the mechanical linkage between the shifter and the PNP switch has gone awry. It could just be that the PNP swich came out of alignment, if that's even possible.
Thanks for the replies. This all started when I had to have the rear main seal replaced, so of course they had to pull the tranny to do it. Since then, I have no back up lights, and this situation with the shifter.
