Better / Simpler PCV System from ......HONDA??
I own a Volvo just because I could not pass the offer. Otherwise I always stayed away from pretty much every European cars because their complexity and expensive maintenance.
However, I now realize that this misconception sometimes is because people equate Volvo's to luxury + deep pockets. Plus not alot of mechanics know what they are doing and they charge a premium to experiment with European cars.
Sometimes I wish that the Swedish engineers had made a couple of things more robust (IGN, ABS, PCV sys, Cable Covers) & simpler (ABS and PCV sys).
My question here is if anyone has contemplated replacing the PCV system with one out of a Honda?
Honda's PCV sys does not separate the oil from the crankcase vapors, and its a simpler/ more robust design.
Albeit the PCV valve needs replacement every so often, but it sure beats taking the manifold out!
Has anyone contemplated doing this?
Has anyone done this?
Does anyone of you want to try it besides me???
