Default Blinker Switch

Anyone ever have a blinker switch break in the column. My daughter's 850 switch is aparently loose and I'm not home tyo look at it. Any history with the steering columns would help.

Thanks.. Paul g 95 850

Are you talking about the turn signal stalk?

The Blinker relay/Hazard switch is all one.
If the stalk broke off it is pretty easy to replace. Remove the covers and then the 2 screws holding the stalk on.

I mean the actual lever. Opposite the windshield wiper switch on the column.

OK remove the black cover around the steering column. It will take a t-15 and a t-25 to remove the screws in the cover. Then there is 2 T-25 screws holding the lever on. Then unplug and plug the new one in and reinstall everything else.

Thanks

I'm on a tug off the west coast and the kid with the car is in Mass, so obviously it's got to go to the shop. I'm just pissed I'm not there to fix it.

Yah I know it gets aggrivating when that happens. My Brother drives his car from N.J. sometimes for me to work on it.

Where are you in Mass, if its really an awkward issue, I'll help out if I can.. I'm in Dracut, just North of Lowell.

Sounds easy to do, but, if I can be of help I will.

Thanks to all. Got it covered. My local mechanic owes me one. Hopefully he can get the part from Volvo without too much pain involved.
