Is it worth it, i found one for 150$ with 200 000 miles and a little shaft play. Could i run it like that, how much oil would it burn.. How much could it cost for a rebuild?

 

idk it'll probably cost the same as finding a decent one out the bat. check volvospeed, kids over there are always selling their "inferior" 16Ts for 19Ts and above...

 

That's cause they're basically 15Gs. lol. Yeah, just buy one that doesn't have shaft play, you could probably find one that doesn't need a rebuild for 150. Or pay him a hundred for it, get it rebuilt, and now you have yourself a new turbo.

 

If you know for sure that it has almost no shaft play, then I would pick it up for 150 bucks.

 

im going to be getting some pics.. but its supposed to have a little shaft play.. its hard to tell without actually seeing it..
