Default Cabin Temperature Variations

Recently the temperature and blower controls on my '93 850 have not been working right. With the blower control set to "0" I notice some air blowing out of the vents. Additionally the temperaure controls don't work right. With both controls set to 72F at times cold air is blowing out and other times hot air (with fan control off). It seams like the compressor is kicking on when it blows cold. Any thoughts?

Is your car moving? If your car is moving you will notice air coming in with the fan speed set to 0.

Do you have a MCC or ECC climate system?

I am guessing that MCC is manual climate control and ECC is electronic. Not sure which I have. I am guessing manual. There is an auto setting on the dial control for air flow. Temperature control is via two dial controls, one driver, one passenger.

I recall that the air also blows out with car in park.

If you have the Auto setting then it is ECC.
Maybe Low on Freon and maybe also a bad Blend door motor.

You might feel a slight bit of air come out when on off for Fresh air to move through the cabin.

I read on post "AC lights flashing" about an interior temperature sensor. Where exactly is this located? I am thinking that I should check this. I should have mentioned that early in summer I had the light flash on my AC controls.

The temp. sensors are located above the front doors inside in the Headliner. Just below the Grab handles.

Have you tried pulling codes?

Climate control is B1
