Volvo 850 Made from 1993 to 1997, this Volvo line was available in both a wagon and a sedan, both with were graced with several trim levels.

Can someone explain to me what the "airmix" vent control does?

Default Can someone explain to me what the "airmix" vent control does?

I'm not sure of its purpose. What exactly is is mixing?

1995 Volvo 850

Mixes outside air with the climate control. Most useful in the winter when you are using the heat. Open then air mix and it will mix the outside cool air to keep your head/face area cooler. Some people have it open and it will stop the car from getting warm enough for them. LOL
