Hello all, I am having an intermittent miss that severely affects my R. Say you’re cruising at 45 and accelerate hard or even punch it, it misses very bad all the way up to about 5000 rpm, sometimes all the way to the redline. The other day I was just messing with it and let it miss for some time as I usually back off. This time the CEL came on and got a p0305, (miss in cyl 5) but I also got a P1310, which I can’t find. I have replaced pretty much all ignition components, plugs, wires, coil, dist cap and rotor, MAF, TPS, injectors, most vac hoses. I am planning on dropping it off at the dealer and just saying fix it. It doesn’t do it all the time or usually when it’s cold, and I have lost like 4 MPG. Any last ideas? Or any idea what that code is? Thanks!

 

I couldn't find P1310 either. Sounds like you have pretty much replaced all the things that would lead to the problem you are having. I have the same thing going on with my 97 850 R, and nobody has been able to figure out what causes it. It will run fine for a couple months then all of sudded get a misfire on cylinder #1 and run like crap at low speed. When I step on the gas though, it runs fine.

 

Hmmm.... I couldn't find P1310 either........Interesting

 

Ok, looking over on brickboard.com, I found only one mention of P1310. SOmeone had the exact same issue you are dealing with and the dealer said code P1310 stands for IGNITION 3 PRIMARY FEEDBACK CIRCUIT (COIL/PLUGS?)
