CEL and up arrow flashing!
Hi,
I have a 94 850Turbo, auto-transmission with approx 160k.
This morning I was following someone down a hill and rather than ride my brakes the entire time like they were I downshifted from Drive to 3rd.
A few seconds after this the upshift arrow began to blink and Check Engine light was thrown & the ECON/SPORT mode lights were blinking.
At the next few stop & starts it felt as if the transmission was stuck in 3rd.
After work on the ride home the upshift arrow & CEL were still active, but the transmission performed just fine, no issues.
Checked the code: P0730 was the only one. cleared the code.
Should I go ahead & replace the PNP sensor or do I have a more serious issue?

You should also try to pull codes from the Diagnostic Unit (A1) in the engine compartment. After pulling them, clear them there.
If you still get the 3-2-2 code (Incorrect Gear Ratio), you should go through the steps (page 1 of this thread).

update:
cycled through the gears, shifted from Park to Low about 30 times, without the engine running.
cleared the codes
put about 80 miles on since & no issues.
time will tell if this was a one time event.
