Closing tailgate locks all doors (even with keys in ignition)
When I close my tailgate, all of my car doors lock.
This seems to happen about 75% of the time.
I can't figure out what occasionally prevents it from happening, particularly when it might actually be useful.
I've almost locked myself out of my car dozens of times now. Several times when the engine was still running!
Luckily so far I've always had a window open (Unlocking the door manually results in the alarm going off. This is the only scenario I've ever heard my alarm.) or the a door was still open.
I hate hate this feature (if it's a feature and not a malfunction) and would like to know how I can remove/prevent it!!
Does anyone else have this issue?
Any ideas on how to stop it from happening?
Thanks!

yeah I get that from time to time on my 95 850T wagon. I suspect its a loose connection somewhere - ie in the key fob receiver or trunk latch connections but never resolved. My work around was to replace the trunk shocks and to not slam the gate closed. And yes I have locked myself out of the car :-)
