Default Control arm

Any one have some great advice for removing the control arm? The two bolts with the bushing are easy to remove. The one holding the ball joint how ever appears to be stuck. I got the nut off but the bolt is stuck. The Haynes manual says to just remove it.

Soak it with PB blaster and let it sit for a while, then see if it'll come loose.

With your car in the air very carefully put your jack (with protection) under your strut to lift the strut up a bit. When it hangs down it a bear to get that ball joint out. Lift the strut a bit without pressure on the control arm and you will see it shift...at that point the bolt should come out and you can get the arm out too.

I replaced them over the summer and I think I spent a million hours trying to remove that thing! Gobs of PB Blaster, a torch, a big hammer and a big pry bar did the trick. My drivers-side tie rod was shot, so I think that had something to do with making that side of the control arm very difficult to remove. Stick with it, and you'll win.
