Default Coolant leak: where the heck is it going?

I'm a newbie - a F who likes to tinker and figure out car problems. Be easy on me.

My 850 is losing coolant bigtime. Checked the reservoir and hoses from the reservoir, which all seem to be OK. As I add coolant, it disappears as quickly as I'm adding it...but there are no puddles under the car. Please help me figure out where my coolant is going!

That is a valid option but so would a bad head gasket. It doesn't happen very often but I've had cars where if you kept trying to put coolant into them they would literally be peeing it out the tailpipe. That or it's going into the oil. Have you pulled the oil dipstick to check the color of the oil ??
If it's leaking into the engine it will be a milk chocolate like color.

-engine oil doesn't seem an odd, milk-chocolate color
-no white smoke coming from exhaust

Are the interior floors dry ??

How much coolant can you add at any one time to try to fill it ??

get a coolant pressure tester and put the system under 16 pounds. run around with a flashlight look for the leak. Sounds a lot to me like a hose.

Did you just say that your oil is a "milk chocolate" color? If so, that is where your coolant is going, right into the engine oil. Oil should be like tea or dark like coffee when dirty, not light like milk chocolate.

Pretty sure he is saying it is not.

Buy I'm very interested in how much he can add to the reservoir to try to fill it up.
