Coolant level sensor, do they go bad?
Hi, 1995 850 Turbo. I've got a constant coolant level warning light. The bottle is full. Do the sensors go bad/get corroded? I've checked the external connectors and they look OK. Is there a way to clean the sensor inside the bottle? Or should I just get a different one from the local Rip n' Strip?
Thanks
Thanks
Replace the sensor it's pretty cheap. I've heard of some which gone bad...
Just don't "fix" it as someone did on the car from my boss (V70)
He shorted the 2 leads . This "silenced" the lamp in the cluster.
However this costed my boss an engine, as the radiator hose broke and the car lost all of it's coolant, no warning light came up. When it did lit (engine overheating) it was to late...
