So last night I'm driving like a normal guy when suddenly my entire dash lights went out. They didn't just go out tho, it took them like a few seconds as they dimmed down. An annoyed look and a whap on top of the dash fixed it immediately and for the duration of the trip, but what can I check or replace so it don't happen again.

 

I'm also in need of this info, My dash was doing this and is now dead.

Are you or do you have anything in your car that is tapped into the dimmer circuit?

 

I had this common problem too and made a thread how to diagnose it - it is Sticky'd at the top of the 850 forum under: "Frequently Used Threads - Helpful Information".

Pull the dimmer, jumper BRN/ORG wire to PNK wire on the connector, and the dash lights will be on when the car is on. That will confirm the dimmer is bad.
