I didnt suggest poking a hole in the fuel filter. I ASKED if it would be a bad idea to poke (not drill) a small hole in there. Just say "not a good idea" and let it go. Jeeze! Relax you guys. calm down for crying out loud. I was just asking. And I've been working on my own cars, motorcycles, mowers, tractors snowblowers and rototillers for about 30 years.

daver80, if you have so much experience, why is this such a mystery to you?? Just remember to put your ciggy out on the old filter once you get it out...
