Dead battery
I have a situation where my battery drains down over night. I just tested it and I have 12.04 volts after the car has been off for 3 hours. When it is running I get 13.65 volts and as soon as I turn it off it goes to about 12.45 and slowly drops.
Does any one have any idea where to start looking.

I would start with lights. Look at in the dark. Use your phone to determine whether the glove box light is going out. The light in the back is easy enough to check on if you have a sedan. 90% of the time, that is the trouble.
If that isn't it, then you'll need to do some real electrical troubleshooting. All cars are basically the same when it comes to battery drains.
1. make sure the battery will hold a charge unhooked
2. Make sure the problem is not the alternator diodes
3. Start checking amps going to everything else in the car one fuse at a time.
Step 3 is the hard one, but it can be done.

And now we all know why I ask this question here. Thanks for all the input. Now if I can do this this weekend with out it raining all the time maybe I can figure it out.
a few things you can look for before opening the hood include checking the glove box lights and the vanity lights are not stuck on. Also make sure the 12v lighter outlet doesn't have crud in it. A friend had a battery drain and it turned out an orange peel which dropped into the lighter outlet!
I looked it all over in the dark but didn't see any lights on. While I was doing that I opened the glove box and worked the switch, It was very stiff. You can't tell about the glove box light with it closed so I taped something so it would press on the switch harder and that did the trick. My battery is still charged after 3 days.
I want to remove the lamp from the glove box light so I don't have this issue in the future. Is the only way to access it by removing the glove box liner?
