Wow.

Has anyone heard anything from the guy who started this thread? I'm curious to see what his solution wound up being.

Wow this thread went to hell.

Sry have been busy selling my street car and buying a stage III s4 I am going to pull the wastegate actuator arm and drive the car around to see how it drives with no boost and if i find it accetable i will start the teardown process, the race is not until May. I will do what somebody suggested earlier and just remove the turbo and weld on a vertical stack exhaust right up through the hood, straight up redneck style.

Do 850s have an impact fuel shutoff device, i would need to disable it if it does.

So... if anybody lives around reading, PA and want some tan interior stuff it will be going real cheap. I have to pull ALL interior plastic and carpet, remove rear seats, remove all glass and mechanisms, door handles, all plastic bumper covers, weld the doors shut, install a fuel cell, relocate battery to rear seat, etc. So you go through all of this work to HOPEFULLY drive around for 20-30 minutes before the car dies.

Here is some random you tube videos of the Pagoda Junk car race.

There is no fuel cutoff valve.

Make sure you disable and remove the air bags. The computer/sensor Unit is under the armrest. There are no crash sensors up front. If your 850 has Side-Impact Protection (SIPS) air bags you should remove these as well. These will not affect your fuel pump.

The vapor line from the Fuel Filler Neck to the Canister has a rollover valve. This will cut the vapor feed if the car is tilted 45 degrees. Looking at the videos, it should not affect driveability by that much.
