Default Determining engine type?

Hello,

I am new to this forum and glad to have found it. I have a 1996 850 turbo wagon (plat. Ed.). After a bit of research and looking into the haynes manual I believe I have the 2.3L B5234T model engine.

Would someone mind confirming this?

I currently have ABS and TRACS lights coming on intermittently (every time driven: comes on and then turns off). Looks like might be a bad ABS module from the posts I have read.

I also have a service light on (been on for some time and dont know how to clear it). Do I need a scanner to clear it or is there a reset button? I would like to clear the dash lights and correct the problems

TIA

There should be a white sticker under the hood that tells you what motor you have.

Yes I will bet the ABS module is bad.

You need a special tool to reset the service light.
