diagnostic code question

Is there a transmission code connection in the diagnostic unit in the right front of the car? Is the only place to get transmission codes from the OBD connector between the seats?

check out volvotips.com for how to use the diagnostics port for transmission codes. The OBD I connector reads the same data.
