E-brake cable help
Hey everyone, I decided to fix my handbrakes today...I changed the cables, got new shoes and a new spring set. Im missing a part tho and Im wondering if anyone knows where i can get it. The part im missing is a metal piece that connects the cable to the brake shoes. It looks like 3 pieces of steel that can move freely on each other, and is used to connect the HB cable to the brake shoe. Any help would be appreciated...it sux having no handbrakes on a manual car lol
Car is a 94 Volvo 850 Turbo Manual
edit: i found a photo on the net of what it looks like on a S70...i need it for my 850 tho, it looks a little different.

there was a guy that posted on kijiji about a couple parted out 850's i emailed the guy and he wants me to go see them, and id like to go sometime this week or next. Im sure you could rip whatever parts you want of those cars.. let me know if you want his info.
in the summer im probably going to be meeting with a couple other volvo guys off this board sometime, you should come too, id love to see your car.. also post some pics somewhere.

I don't think i can take the part off an old car, it has to be relatively new the part, the reason i need it is cuz it was rotten on mine and snapped lol
Im going to take a look around, i emailed FCP Groton, just waiting for their reply.
As for the pics, gonna have to wait till this summer, i got the car in the winter, and everytime i wash...it snows or gets dirty the next day lol

Well I just ordered it from Scotty's...they were 34$ each for my car...the entire handbrake job costed me about 240$...labor was done by my friend for free, so its 240$ on just the 2 cables, new pads, springs and those little metal rods. I didn't think it would cost this much
If you buy all your parts off FCP (like i should have done) it will cost you probably around 180ish. Enjoy
