Default Electrical Timing

I replaced my head gasket on my 94 850 turbo and went to start my car and it ran very slugish then staled with some backfireing. Thought my timing was off so I retimed the valves and still the same problem. Next we put a timing light on the engine and the electrical timing is advanced, so I changed the position on the R.P.M sensor but then the car would not start at all so I positioned it back to original. Any more thoughts on how I can fix this problem or proberly time my electrical? Ps tried pulling codes but the damn L.E.D light is broken. no clue on Ecu and fuel ignition management systems?

Not sure what your problem is, and I'm not even going to venture a guess. If one of the more experienced members doesn't come up with something the dealer should be able to pull the codes from the system because if I remember correctly they have a scanner so they don't have to use the LED.

Remove the Dist Cap and rotor and inspect the rear cam and Cup that holds the rotor. It only goes on one way but can also go the other way and be off.
