Should be no problem with the motors, the trannies are different but you are hooking it up to a manual so I think you'll be fine.

Well, I'm far from an expert on swapping motors. I do know that SN's on the front of the t-blet cover has the motor specs but some do have different things like EGR, PCV changes, and stuff like that. You may want to wait for a pro or ask guys on MATT's site. There is a guy here trying to get one started that he swapped a '99 motor into a '95. He's stuck.

That guy would be me . I do know that you will need the 5th & 6th of your vin, as well as weather you have an air pump or not. My biggest obstacle installing the engine was the 99 front mount is a little different and I had to buy one for a 99, than it fell right into place.
I might be a little naive here but I truly feel that my issue is not with the replacement engine, but with the car. The reason I feel that way is I have no spark from the coil. When it warms up a little here I have replacement cam & crank sensor I’m going to try, Kent.

Hey Kent: You know I wasn't trying to knock you just trying to make sure I didn't misslead Phil into thinking it was a piece of cake and I knew it all. Hope that cam sensor works out for you. It got my daughters S70 running real quick.

Oh ya, I also have fuel, just no spark from the coil. Is there fuseable links on these cars?
