Kind of a long question but not seen it answered anywhere. I have a 98 v70R AWD. If I am using all my peripheral equipment off my orginal 2.3lt motor. Meaning using intake manifold, header, turbo, power steering, a/c compressor, injectors, Fuel lines, wirering harness, ECU. Can a Turbo longblock (2.5lt, B5254T2, VIN 52 6-7 digit) from a 2003-2007 XC70, V70 be compatible?

I need to replace my engine and I wanted to upgrade a little with a bigger CI motor. I will be using my original ecu and electronics but I need to know if there is going to be any issues? Is it a drop in (engine mounts and trannie) bolt in type swap? What will I be up against? Thanks folks

 

Turbo matt, this is a serious question with a lot of money and time involved. I would put this question on VS in the performance area.

great link thanks Gilber. didn't even think about the VVT. I do not want to tackle this. Guess I will keep looking for another engine then. Know of anyone selling a project motor that they lost interest in
