well i undid all 3.5 million bolts and pulled the cam - used amicrometer to check cam diameter and cam seat and the cam seat at the front of the engine was . 00023 smaller than the cam - i have now idea how or why - i solved the problem by cutting a wooden dowel roughly the same diameter and wrapped it with 1200 grit emery cloth, oiled it with cutting oil and lightly polished it until it fit and i had to do the same to the cam/valve cover seat also (took about 2 hours) - after reinstallation and re torque it is perfectly fine -turned crank 2wice and timing is dead on- i will be starting it tomorrow - if i remember ill make a video and post it to youtube for all interested to look at -- WITH SOUND LOL
