finally got my exhaust manifold!!!
WOOHOO after about 8 weeks of waiting for the manifold i finally brought my car in to get it installed. It was a good thing too that i got it done at a muffler shop. The old one came off rather easily (After 2 months of spraying PB Blaster..great stuff!!!), they had to change 2 of the studs, they put on the new one but they had to fabricate a hook up of where it connects to the cat. (4 bolt)....they did a really great job and it's not leaking fumes in the engine bay. The car seems to run better, a bit more torque i find and a bit quieter..

hey Tech...ya it seems to be running better...there is a little vibration at certain rpms that i can hear from underneith, i'll inspect it to see what it is...honestly, i felt like changing the whole exhaust line, but can't right now...too much$$$...haha
The next step is to look into a new flametrap..is it tough to change out or is it an easy swap once you pop out the cover?
secondly, i think i should change the O2 sensor, not sure when it was last done...is there any place you recomment to get one at a good price? thanks

Hey Tech, i will check it out first at the dealership first...i say them at FCP as well, but the shipping is a bit of a killer....i know where it is located, i just wanted to know how to get it out? do i pop it out with a screwdriver or something? also, do i need to change the little thin hard plastic tubes that go into the manifold? thanks

The o2 i know it unscrews, i was refering to the flametrap's hard plastic tubes..do those have to be changed too? or just pop out the flametrap, in with the new and i'm good to go? thanks dude..

cool...usually is it just the flame trap or does it come with those thin plastic tubes...the one that does into the intake manifold or just the flame trap...if so, should i change the thin plastic ones too, or just leave them be? i don't know if it might help to reduce the bleu "plume" that i occasionally get at startup? thanks

you mean the ones that house the flametrap and around it? i will check it out.... ya i'm a little worried about touching or changing the thin plastic ones, they seem so delicate...
