Flooded my 850
Alright, so today it rained and i drove through water in the street. My car stopped, and it will not start at all. The a/c and windows work, but the engine wont do anything. it was in the water for about 2 minutes. Can anyone help me out?
Completely dry the engine bay, especially the ignition/starter components. You may have to remove distributor cap to see if water is trapped inside. I would then check for all fuses.

You didn't say how deep the water was.If there is a possibility that you sucked water into the intake and when you hit the key to try to start the car it makes aClunk sound but will not turn over then you need to remove all of the spark plugs and crank the car.
I've never had such a situation on my car but I have had it often whenmy kids sinkthe Jet Skis. The cylinders get filled with water.
Air will compress, water will not.
If it was shallow water the problem is, as JPN says, likely electrical.

Great advice from both above posts. I would remove the plugs anyway and crank the engine over just to see if it turns freely (or turns over at all). If you did suck wanter into it, you definitely need to get the water out ASAP. Additionally, I would check to see if the air filter is soaking wet or not, and I would schedule an oil change, especially if you sucked up any water.
If you don't have an extra air filter lying around, you can take the old one and put it in a microwave oven. It will come out steaming vapor. Dry with a hair drier. Repeat as needed until it is dry. I remember I did that when my wife went scuba diving in our 850.
I hope you didn't hydrolock the engine.
