Default Flooded my '98 S70

I live in Dallas and got stuck in some high water yesterday. My car died immediately and I sat there for less than 3 min. A guy pushed me out and I parked the car for 24 hrs. Went today and it would not start. A guy pulled a the air filter yesterday and it was wet. Please tell me that this doesn't mean my car it history!

Could very well be.

How fast were you going when it happened?

If you were going very slow/idleing maybe not.

Did the engine turn over at all?

If not remove all the spark plugs and try to turn it over. Try to pull the fuel pump relay and the coil wire first.

If it was hydrolocked then you will see water shoot out of the spark plug holes. Try to get it as dry as possible. Then install the plugs and install the fuse for the fuel pump and see if it will start.

If you hear a knocking when it starts shut it off as fast as possible.

If you hear a little tapping let it run and see if it goes away after a minute or 2.
