Default Floorboard gets wet after rain

This is regarding a '97 850. the floorboard on both sides would be wet after a good rain. I inspected and noticed a drainage port on each side just below each windshield wiper, accessible from under the hood - the rubber drainage tubes were both clogged. after unclogging them, this problem went away for at least a couple years. the problem seems to have returned, only the drainage tubes aren't obstructed and it's only on the drivers side. All seals around the windshield and door appear fine. The only place the interior carpet is wet on an inclined surface is behind the gas pedal.

can anyone make any suggestions or know of something I'm missing?
Thank you.

Check the sunroof drains. You can open the sunroof and poor a little bit and water on the outside of the opening and see if it runs out the drains. You can also remove the A-pillar post and check the hose.

OK then forget that. But the A-pillar post is the plastic on the windsheild post. The windsheild post is A and as they go back B And C and so on.

The problem is likely the the trunk gutter drains. If they are filled wil trash, you can get leakage. One sure sign is that the rear seat wells get wetter than the front. Also look for a loose drain pipe.
