Guys, that socket won't work. Where is the fuse I should replace?

Thanks in advance!

Be sure to check the cig lighter with a test light not just plugging something in. The Pos contact in the bottom of the cig lighter can become corroded which causes everything you plug in to not make contact and appear to not work.

Yeah, check the fuse first, but the problem is likely down to to no contact in the cig lighter. I had to replace mine. The new part was not the right size but I was able use the components to make it work.

Ok, I checked the fuse and it was fine, so I guess now I should test my socket.

Time to get the multimeter out!

I had to put a dremel down in there to clean it up. Works great now.

I'll try that if I find corrosion.

I ended up replacing mine. I got one at Autozone for 9 bucks. It was part number 225051408 but I know it's carried at Oriellys too. This one dropped right in and has the lighted ring like the OEM one. I even changed out the amber ring the new one came with for the green one from the original that failed.
