I'm thinking about doing a little project on my 850, adding a door window switch. I've had this car for almost 2 years and I still reach for the door when I want to roll the window down. I know it's possible because the back doors have switches.

I guess this was a feature they felt was sub-par because they dropped the door switches in the S70, even though they have high failures because of the amount of water that gets on them from the window.

Anyway, the front door has 2 wires coming into the door where as the back doors have 3 wires. Not sure what that last wire is but it's not a ground from what I can tell. Some kind of neutral wire I guess.

Has anyone done this mod before? I have a couple of switches from a 850 that was junked and 1 wire harness. Just not sure what is the best way to hook it up. I poked around today but didn't feel up to pulling the center console to see how those back two doors are wired to the master control box. Please let me know if someone has some ideas.
