May I just say hello, I drive 2 cars, a 1998 V70R and a MB SL500. whilst I have been a member of several MB forums for 2 years and clocked up aome 20,000 post, my V70R just keeps going without fault.

It has decided now not to always turn the courtesy light off on the drivers door. Can someone pleas tell me where the switch is please.

The switch is internally in the door latch.
You will need a new latch assembly.

 

Thank you very much for the fast reply, I had not thought of it being there, so pleased that I asked. the car is great now at 73k miles, and still goes like a bat out of hell, I replaced the cam belt at 40k and a rear antiroll bar (my fault it broke) and thats it.
