Default fuel pressure regulator

Need to change FPR due to leaking fuel into vacuum tube.
What is right procedure to take fuel rail off? Do I need any new O rings or seals to put it back?

You should be able to just snap the aluminum cap off and replace it without removing the rail.

Thanks Lee,
I tried that but couldn't reach to unscrew two screws that hold FPR on the rail. Is there some special way to do it?

there is three 10mm head bolts holding the rail onto the motor. take those out all the way and then wiggle the fuel rail off.

you *should* replace the injector orings, but its not *needed*.

How about relieving pressure and disconnecting fuel line?

Like Lee's idea better but don't know how to do it.

the fuel line doesnt need to come off, but it makes it easyer.

to take the pessure out use the valve on the end of the fuel rail

Strange thing, just found out that my car has fuel pressure damper not fuel pressure regulator. What is deference beside price ( damper is half price $52)? There is little deference on pictures.

Update
Fuel pressure damper replaced. Really easy job. Much easier than I thought, 20 minutes top.
Most important this fixed long lasting problem of hard start when car is warm

If you have the dampner on the rail then the regulator should be in the fuel line at the back of the motor by the body.
