Default gauges! About to add to my 850

I will be likely adding AFR and manifold pressure gauges to the 855T in near future.

Recommendations on gauge brands/sources and mounting locations please. Rather not put them on A pillar if I can avoid it; really want to keep stock look as much as possible.

Appreciate your input!

Replacing your double-decker head unit with a single height might give you enough room.

Yeah, actually thought about that, but still need rather small gauges to fit there.

Sorry 97black850, but i would still like to use my vents.

Might need to cut holes the dash possibly..

Gauge recommendations?

FYI: ending going w/VTBricked suggestion and think it turned out quite well. There is just enough room! Gauges are 2.063" diameter and 1 din height is about 2.400"; i.e. you have about an 1/8" to spare on top and bottom.

Went with AEM gauges. Will post pic soon.

Yeah it's not optimal for viewing so don't ck 'em while you're cutting thru traffic and if you need a 3rd gauge you'll need another option..

I am running autometer ultralights in mine - love them. I have 3 on the A-pillar (wideband AFR, boost, and oil pressure) and 3 in the area above my (now single din) radio (egt, coolant temp, and fuel pressure).

What is EGT?

I like the extra info but I do NOT like anything to look at that low. I actually ran off the road not long ago trying to adjust the AC in a Saturn that had the controls down in front of the shifter.

I have seen 3 gauges under or above a single DIN radio. The best place is in the pod or dash somehow. I had a spare dash pad and should have sunk my ScanGauge in the top of it. There has to be a clean way to mould something in the vinyl of the dash pad.

Pics please! Want to see how you squeezed 3 gauges into one din. Assuming at least one of them was smaller than 2.0623" diameter?

Wait, just added it up, it would be tight but 3 should fit. Would still like to see what you did..
