All,

Took the passenger side headlight wiper motor out of my son's 95 850 this evening (what a PITA).

Anyway, I found out why it is not working properly. The motor is fine, but it seems like the big red gear that drives the eccentric that in turn drives the wiper arm shaft is missing a few teeth. Of course the gear is plastic. Now, I don't want to buy a new or used motor just to replace a bad gear, but my son really wnats the headlight wipers to work.

Is there anywhere I can buy a kit to fix this, or just the gear?

An help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know of anyone who sells replacement gears but there are quite a few motors on ebay that might go cheap...

I too just fiinished putting another headlight wiper motor in the passenger side, and yes it IS was a major PIA! Fortunately I had extra room because from the accident I got into I did not have a headlight in there to have to work around. All the parts are in now and life is good once again. I have to replace the body -colored piece that goes under the headlight (blue green metallic). Anybody parting out one that color or know where to find one besides the local dealership? I love this site! It has a wealth of info you can't find anywhere else.
