Strange thing happened after I started my 95 850 after it sat for a couple of days. When I wanted to turn on the fan to clear the fog from the windshield, only setting 4 worked. setting 0, 1, 2 and 3 nothing happens. It was working fine prior.

Any thoughts?

Could be the blower motor resistor.

 

I second that -- blower motor resistor. I had my mechanic replace that because of that same problem.

 

+3 on the resistor.

 

Just did mine myself $80 or so from fcpgroton.com and a half hour removing lower passenger trim and knee bolster and replaced voila!.

Agreed; a reason why I only stay here and not bother going anywhere else (not only for Volvos but for all other makes/products as well).
