HELLLLLPPPP - ABS Sensor stuff
Hey, im in the middle of a replacing rear ABS sensors in my 96 850 wagon and I pulled the wires out of the yellow plug so I could pull them through the body into the interior but forgot to look at what wire corresponds to what number on the yellow plug. As in left side POS goes in hole 1 and left side NEG goes in hole 3..... Anyone know this info?
So coming from the sensor are two pairs of two wires, one from the left, and one from the right. One is tan and one is brown for each. So I am guessing the one from the right goes Tan=White(2)Brown=SB(4)
and the left is Tan=Red(1) Brown=Yellow(3)?
and the left is Tan=Red(1) Brown=Yellow(3)?
Problem is there is no way to know for sure if that is correct even after plugging it all back in cause im not even 100% sure this is why my light is on.... Might be time to call the dealer. lol
No I pulled them from a car in the junk yard. $15 compared to $130....
The dealer said that normally of white/black, white is hot and yellow/red, red is hot. Since the leads from the sensors were tan/black I assume that black is NEG from the sensor and so I rehooked it up. Can't tell if its correct though because ABS light is still on so I won't know until I am sure the module is working properly. Gr.

I hope all is well.

I have a 94 850Turbo 4 door (US)... is this diagram also good for that model/year? When the weather here in VA. warms, I need to check my rear sensor too. Thanks!

Soooooo....got it all plugged in and back together and the abs light was still on. Started driving and it shut off for a good 30 minutes, with stopping hard (abs kicked in) and restarting the car and everything I could think of to try and get the liight back on, and I thought it was fixed. Nope light came on then and has been on ever since. Guess it is my module, oh well, at least I know the sensors are hooked up right.
Thanks for the help. Now to look up how to solder the abs module.

So weird thing keeps happening. When cold ABS works fine until about that 20-30 minute mark of driving and then the light turns on and wont turn off till the car cools down and sits for a bit. Does that for sure point to the module or does that sound more like the pump since it only messes up when warm?
