Exclamation Help. 1997 Volvo 850 wagon base

I have some things wrong with my Vo, and I could really use some help. The parking brake doesn't work, When I pull it, there's no braking at all. My rear ball joint needs to be replaced, along with an o2 sensor, and a secondary air injection system. It would be awesome if you guys could send me some links to videos and give me some guidelines along with pointers for going into these repairs

1. Parking brakes - pull off a rear wheel - have somebody activate the handle and see if you are getting any action into the rear hub. No action means you need to adjust the cables via the nuts at the lever or you need new cables. (there are two - one per wheel). Next you can pull off the caliper/rotor and hub and inspect the parking brake shoes. There's a star adjuster (a little wheel that's accessed via a hole where you can insert a flat blade screw driver) to make clearance if your hub won't pull off. 2. Rear ball joints? Do you mean the trailing arm link? best post a pic of what part you are referring to. There's a part in the rear suspension that takes a special tool to remove the delta link (ie a special press) want to make sure what your are looking at. 3. Why do you think you need an o2 sensor - what OBD2 check engine codes are you getting? Before you drop one in, check/test your vacuum lines and intake pipes for leaks. 4. For the air injection system - are you getting codes pointing to that? Again, check for vacuum leaks etc first. If you are getting a P0410 code, check out Robert's Youtube vid

Also, there is a bunch of factory service information posted here:
https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/volvo_w...techdocs.shtml

That is really useful for bolt torques, and where the parking brake adjustment are, things like that. The rear suspension work doesn't look easy in the manual, but I haven't done it.

"The parking brake doesn't work, When I pull it, there's no braking at all."

You need to pull the tires and remove the caliper and rotor to see if the parking brake shoes still have the material on them.
It's pretty common for the material to fall off the shoes after a number of years (decade) of neglect.
