High Rpm Boost spike
well i installed a boost gauge on my car and the boost tends to spike up to 15psi when it shifts into 2nd gear.
Now my question is this normal. it goes from around 9-11 to 15 when it shifts. no fuel cut or anything funny but i figured it would drop not go up inbetween shifts to save the transmission

Fuel cut is right around 15 PSI, but your car should only be boosting about 10 PSI because that's what the tune is set for. I would check to make sure you don't have a vac leak anywhere and that your wastegate is opening.
vac is 19-21 all day....and it holds 10 until the car shifts thats when it will spike up to the 15. when the car gets back from the body shop ill drive it more to see exactly what it does and ill have more information about it
That's normal. Its spiking to help compensate for the shift. In normal manual cars you have to let off the gas to shift, thus loosing all boost pressure built up, but in automatics it shifts for you, and when it does it boosts to help keep boost pressure normal when it gets back into gear.
Am I right about why it spikes? I know it's normal since we're in mostly automatics
