2001 XC70 RPM spike between 60-70km
Wondering if anybody has had any issues at cruising speeds between 60-70km. Trans was just completely rebuilt and when cruising anywhere between 60-70 kph when it is in 5th at 1500 rpm it keeps surging from 1500-1800rpm. It feels like it is going in and out of lock up. The trans guys are saying that with the scanner on it, everything is working properly whatever the tcm is telling the trans to do it is. They are lost and can't figure it out? I told them it wasn't like that before.
Anybody have any ideas?? Thanks in advance

They said they did the adaptation but the problem was still there. I told them to use another supplier for the valve body and they now put a Sonnax unit in. I got the car back and it seems pretty good. Is there any other procedures that should be done as to setting the valve body and updates? I spoke to my local dealer and they said when they change valvebodies they don't do any software work. They said they just let it relearn on its own? Doesn't make sense to me...
Well, it is still doing the rpm jump from 1500-1800rpm. When in 5th gear, when cruising between 60-70 km it feels like it is going in and out of lockup. Anyone have any ideas? I know the SLU solenoid on the valvebody controls lockup and it gets signals from input and output speed sensors. Any help would be appreciated.
