RE: How many volts?
14.8 is almost to high. 14.25 is about where it is supposed to be.
I said check in the wire before the terminal because the connections inside the terminals are going bad. If you get like 13.5 at the terminal itself and 14.0 at the wire before the terminal then the terminal is bad you are loosing .50 volt through the terminal.

RE: How many volts?
It is a Interstate battery. Not sure how old but i am guessing about three years. Sorry it took so long for me to get back on. But yeah. Thanks so far for all your help. I still have not had a chance to really dig in and find out whats going on with it. So busy lately. Once i get into it i will post. thanks Danny

RE: How many volts?
There is nothing to be sorry about.
If you have to jump start it, the battery is not holding charge for whatever the reason. It could be a weak battery (though Interstate Batteries are one of the bests around) or the alternator cannot keep up with the demand under heavy load conditions (rainy nights in hot summer is the worst).
If both are functioning normally, then suspect a parasitic current draw. I once had it with the glove compartment light.
