Huco voltage regulator - no male plug lead?

When I searched 1997/Volvo/850/wagon/base/B5254/voltage regulator it shows me the Bosch unit that is in mine (520), the Volvo/Saab Bosch unit that looks like the Huco unit (smaller but very expensive), and the Huco unit for $54. I assumed any of the three would fit as I searched my particular car/year etc and heard good things about Huco so ordered it (it was also cheapest)... Apparently also fits V70/S70/C70.
Anyhow, apparently 850's built late in 1997 have a different regulator that has functions the early small units do not. They also apparently run at a lower voltage, 14.1 or something like that. Anyhow, long story short is I got the wrong one and am now thinking of just swapping the brushes from the huco into my Bosch as the brushes on the Bosch are worn to nothing and burnt to a crisp so would put money on them being my alternator issue...
