Default I did the math....

I know, I'm a nerd. What can you expect from someone in their last semester of earning their Masters in Accountancy and studying to pass the CPA exam?

My 1995 850 Turbo currently has 60,000 miles on it. It had 45,000 when I got it a year and 9 month ago. That means I average 8,570 miles a year. If I keep that pace and expect the car to reach 250,000 miles, I will be driving this car for another 22 years. The car will be 39 years old. That would be like seeing a car from 1973 on the road today.

That is a little ridiculous. (In a good way)

I plan to keep it for a long time as well, I just hope there will be replacement parts still, especially the plastics bits. That's my main concern.

I drive 25k+ miles on my daily driver a year. I go through vehicles like water.

Keep that thing maintained and in 22 years you will have something of value.

To add another number to the equation, that will be 2034, not sure we'll still be using roads at that time. You will not have any un-broken plastic in the car.

Actually, Volvo does carry the common broken plastic pieces. Stuff that they sell monthly. If it's not sold for several months, they drop it.

Just make sure you don't miss your $1.32 monthly payments. Hate to see you mess your credit up with such an old car.

Mine is halfway there now, so mine would be 34 years old (201,000km, 124,000 miles)

I'll cross 200,000 miles before the months end.

Haha, luckily it's all paid off. Just bought it outright.
