Yes I agree that is one of the main reasons I got mine. Also I am a manual trans guy that's why I converted mine as well.

Hello Tech,

I just got a 1996 Red 850R. I have collected almost everything to convert it to a manual except for the clutch. I don't know a good place to get a good, inexpensive R clutch kit. Any suggestion? Thanks.

Just go to FCP and get the sach's clutch kit. There's a code on here for free shipping and ten percent off too.

Agreed just go to FCP and get the regular one.
I estimate about 280HP at the motor and clutch is holding up great.

I was not going to spend another $200.00 just for the R clutch either.

Well, actually DW sells the R clutch for the 200 shipped. However, they do business strictly by phone and I don't know their number or anything.
