new to this forum, used to drive a clean 2002 bmw 325ci (bmw325ci2002.googlepages.com/home) thats the site i made to help sell my car.

But anyways...i really like the sounds of intake heads by themselves andi needa know where i could find fair priced intake heads for an Volvo 08 S40 T5..

also...anyone have any pros cons about the car?

 

hey thats really funny because i have a 328i E36 ('97) white luxury model and i'm looking into a volvo too! The car i'm looking at is an S40 '04 auto. I haven't got the slightest idea about volvo's so i thought i'd come on here and ask around too. it'd be really awesome if anyone would help us out!

 

Coming from a BMW you already know European cars handle way batter than anything the domestics have to offer. I have never even been in a BMW. I bought a new leftover 06 S40 AWD and love it! My daughter loved it so much she is buying it from me. I ordered a new 08 C30 that is due in the middle of May. Can't wait to get it. The new cars have great incentives right now from Volvo. $1500 on the S40's. Less on the C30's. And used, certified, have great financing! Tom

 

I gotta tell you guys, I haven't seen aftermarket perfomance intake heads for Volvos. That's not to say they aren't out there, but if you find them, I'll bet they are expensive.I've seen a few throttle bodies.

Besides, with a turbo, an ECU upgrade and dp wouldprobably be your best bet, followed by the exhaust and a CAI IMO.

 

im going to be honest with you...if you guys are buying these s40's for performance, after leaving bmw, you guys are nuts...Im a huge s40 fanatic dont get me wrong but unless you have big wallet dont expect as much out of a stock s40 except good swedish brand and safety...and one thing to watch for with the 04 s40 which is what i drive is the trans....make sure you change the fluid every so often as this is the weak point of the car in some cases...
