Strange CEL Issue
My 850 displays a CEL, and according to instructions to read codes, I put the jumper into socket A2, and I get a reading of 1-1-1, yet still my CEL persists. What am I doing wrong?
Help is greatly appreciated.

Go to any parts store - Advanced Auto Parts, Checker, AutoZone, Pep Boys, Napa, etc - just ask them to "scan your code" for you.
If it's an 850... it should have the OBDII port under the "change holder" in front of the shifter (at least i think it's universal on all 850's)... lift from the top of it (the side closest to the ashtray) and pull up, it snaps off and there's the port (love that Volvo made it that easy!)
They'll scan... be sure to write down the codes they give you. You can look those up later and find out exactly what it is. You can even post them here and these guys will give you great advice.

The CEL could be coming from a different port. I would check all of them to see if you get 1-1-1 on all of them. If you do, then the next thing would be to try reading the codes from the OBD port under the armrest.
