Anyone know of a solution for the heater cores on our 850's? I know all about them and have replaced them before(with the behr units only), but I am curious if a new solution has come up in the years that eliminates the problem from ever coming back.

I don't mean by-passing the heater core either :P

I ask this also because I found something interesting on ebay. This company said they switched things around in the original design so that the plastic will never ever leak again due to the high heat and being molded directly to the plastic.

here is the link;

Any thoughts would be awesome.

Sounds great! Except, well, only time will tell... I certainly doubt it will last "forever", hopefully it is an improvement over the first generation...

That is the core I recommend in my video. The have an odor about 1/2 the time installed so people usually wash them in the dishwasher prior to installation.

They have been on the market for about 4 years now with no failure known. I have one in my car. Some are now experiencing Behr failure in 3 years. At any rate, at less than $40 shipped, hard to try pay $190 for another brand.

I never watched your video because I have replaced them before.

You serious though, an odor? lol

Was really thinking about getting one to try out anyway because yeah, only 40$ and a lifetime warranty with them. My t-5r is turning into a steamy sauna at the moment.

RSPI, you were talking about these right?

Just ordered two this morning. I will let you know how they work out. They make some big claims, hopefully they deliver.
